Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Hasan Mahmud Khondakar has expressed satisfaction that they have earned confidence and love of the people by curbing terrorism and rise of militancy, reports UNB. “We have been able to control terrorism, extortion and evil acts of religious extremists,” Hasan told newsmen at RAB head office Tuesday. He dismissed the prospect of rise of religious militants in the country. Hasan narrated the achievements of RAB that came into action four years ago. “We want to hold on this achievement and we will try our best to make the force more effective in stamping out terrorism, extortion and militancy from the society.” “We will strengthen the investigation capacity and set up a forensic laboratory. We will also acquire helicopter for our air wing,” he added. Hasan said, “We have earned the confidence and love of the people by our activities. That’s our big achievement.” |
