At least four persons including a child were killed and 8 others were injured in separate road accidents here, reports agency. At least three persons were killed and seven others injured in a road accident at Narayanpur Latkar Bridge area on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at around 11 am. The accident took place when a Mymensingh bound BRTC passenger bus from Dhaka collided head on with a ''Nasiman'' killing three including the driver of the ''Nasiman'' on the spot and injuring seven others. Of the victims, two were identified as Anamul Hoque, 28, the driver, son of late Shamsul of village Rangamati in Phulbaria and Abdur Razzaq, 50, son of late Pacha Miah of village Roymoni in Trishal. The injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH). In another accident at Dharshar Par on Mymensingh- Haluaghat road in Haluaghat Upazila here, a minor girl was killed and her sister was injured at around 10 am. The accident occurred when a Mymensingh bound truck ran over the two sisters while they were crossing the road, killing Rahima Khatun, 10, daughter of Abdul Halim of village Dharshar Par on the spot and injuring her sister Aklima, 4, seriously, police said. Aklima was sent to MMCH morgue for autopsy. Separate cases were lodged in these connections. |
