Reuters, NEW YORK - US stocks edged lower at the opening on Tuesday after data showing US home prices slumped in January, adding to worries about housing sector weakness. The Dow Jones industrial average dipped 18.40 points, or 0.15 percent, at 12,530.24. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 1.17 points, or 0.09 percent, at 1,348.71. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 0.67 points, or 0.03 percent, at 2,326.08. |
