Islamic Constitution Stu-dent Movement (ICSM) Friday demanded resignation of Women and Children Affairs Adviser Rasheda K Chowdhury for what they said her anti-Islamic speech, reports UNB. ICSM president Sheikh Fazle Bari Masud made the demand at a rally at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Jum''a prayers. "Either she will have to resign or be removed… if not, the country''s youth will force her to step down," Masud said. He said Rasheda has hurt the sentiment of Muslims as well as the spirit of Islam through her remarks. Later, they brought out a procession but police intercepted it at Paltan crossing. The procession was again obstructed at Bijoy Nagar as it tried to take another route. However, the procession ended at Paltan crossing in the face of the repeated police obstructions. |
