About 10,000 people joined an anti-corruption rally led by ACC chairman Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury in the town that vowed not to indulge in corruption nor allow others to do it, reports UNB.

Students of educational institutions, government officials, NGOs, political and social leaders joined the rally presided over by district anti-corruption president Dr M A Hamid.

“We shall not tolerate corruption, We will not indulge in corruption, We shall not allow others do corruption,” were the slogans chanted at the rally.

ACC chairman informed the rally that corruption has declined in all sectors due to concerted efforts.

He said pervasive corruption had bedeviled the nation and tarnished its image abroad. People must be conscious about the ills of corruption and be aloud against the corrupt elements in the society. He assured that none of the corrupt persons, whoever they are, would be spared. They will be brought to book and punished.
