Agency Ambassador to USA Humayun Kabir has urged the Bangladeshi community to work together to face serious challenges as they and the country have huge possibilities there. Speaking at a reception in his honour by the Brahmanbaria Society at New York Sunday, ambassador Kabir said, though more than five lakh Bangladeshis were in USA at present but their presence was not noticeable. So we must be inventive and involve much more with the mainstream of the USA, the ambassador said adding that we should let our opinions known to the senate and congress members. At the same time we should help our children educated along with our culture well to face the international competitions. Ambassador Kabir said, a movement was going on in Bangladesh against, irregularities, corruption and breach of trust. “ It is a very difficult fight in which we must win. We must fight for an honourable Bangladesh both at home and abroad,” he added. He said, Bangladesh has got immense possibilities abroad. Jahangir Amin chaired the reception which was addressed by the community leaders. |
