Staff Correspondent The Stragos in collaboration with Career and Professional Development Services of North South University organised a seminar on ‘Rising Importance of Business Policy and Strategy as a Concentration to the Corporate World’ was held on its campus on Thursday. NSU vice-chancellor Hafiz GA Siddiqi presided over the seminar. Mamun Rashid, country officer of Citibank, NA attended the seminar as chief guest. Unilever Bangladesh finance director Mahtabuddin Ahmed, human resource consultant of Jobs ICT Tatiana Pavlovsky and CPDS director Abdul Hannan Chowdhury also spoke. The NSU VC said that the university has many academic programmes but the business policy and strategy programme is the best in context of the present globalization. Business policy and strategy is really important policy for business and practical life and also for the present competitive situation, Siddiqi added. Mamun Rashid said, ‘The world is changing. We don’t know about today or tomorrow and what will happen in life or in any business. And so learning business policy and strategy is a very essential part of our life.’ Hannan Chowdhury said NSU, as a learning centre of School of Business, was providing quality higher education. |
