The foreign affairs adviser, Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, left Dhaka for Senegals capital, Dakar, late Sunday to attend the summit of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference.

The chief adviser, Fakhruddin Ahmed, will, meanwhile, lead a delegation to the summit to be held between March 13-14. The delegation will leave Dhaka on Tuesday.

The foreign affairs adviser was leaving early to join a meeting of the foreign ministers prior to the summit. The adviser detailed the issues that Bangladesh would place before the summit.

‘We will surely discuss Palestine, Kosovo, Islamophobia, development, trade and other issues of interest to the Muslim nations in the conference,’ Iftekhar told reporters Sunday.
