The 3-day traditional Shiva Fair began at Chandranath Dham, Sitakund yesterday, says a press release.

Acting CCC Mayor Alhaj M Monzur Alam inaugurated the fair through hoisting national flag as chief guest.

The fair organized by Sitakund Shrine Committee features world spiritual conference, seminar, saints gathering, awarding honor and medal distribution.

“ Sitakunda Chandranath Dham is a holy pilgrim’s place for the Hindu Communities of this sub-continent” said the Chief Guest adding further development of the site will attract innumerable pilgrims and visitors from home and abroad.

Industrialist Nani Gopal Shaha kindled the Mongol Lamp in the function.

Former lawmaker Alhaj BM Abul Kashem, Swami Sudarshananda Puri Moharaj, Advocate Subash Chandra Lala, Sukomoi Chakraborti, Principal Ardendu Bikas Rudra, Ward Commissioner Jahar Lal Hazari, Mohammed Hossain, Chief Accountant of CCC Narayan Chandra Paul, Sadanmoi Battacharjee, Sukumar Dhar, Didarul Alam Muhmud and Sayed Forkan Abu were among others present on the occasion.
