The Rajshahi unit of Bangladesh National Women Lawyers’ Association on Monday formed a human chain at Shaheb Bazar in the city demanding proper investigation into the murder of housewife Nurunnahar Runa.

The association also demanded punishment for the killers of Runa. Dil Setara Chuni, coordinator of the association’s Rajshahi division unit, lawyer Nasrin Rahman, Sayra Begum, Khairun Nahar, Ismat Ara attended, among others, at the programme.

Runa, 24, daughter of Nur Islam of Hoseniganj area in the Rajshahi city, was allegedly poisoned to death by her drug addict husband, Arif Irtekher alias Supta, and mother-in-law on February 24.
