Justice M Bazlur Rahman Talukder, who survived a massive cardiac arrest in 2000 and currently suffering from kidney and lung ailments coupled with diabetes, has appealed to the president, chief adviser and philanthropists to extend their helping hands for his treatment.

Bazlur Rahman, a confirmed bachelor, who served the Supreme Court as a judge from 1994 to 1997, said he could not afford to bear the expenses for financial constraints.

The 71-year-old justice, who cannot walk without support, lives in a rented house at Rampura in Dhaka. Bazlur Rahman started his career as a lawyer in the High Court in 1966.
