Former prime minister Khaleda Zia’s assistant private secretary Abdul Matin on Sunday submitted his wealth statement to the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The commission sources said Matin, a deputy secretary, and his wife submitted the statement saying that they own assets of about Tk 1 crore, including pieces of land in Dhaka, Narayanganj and Comilla, more than Tk 6 lakh in cash, some ornaments and a car.

Matin, now a officer on special duty, was named among the 35 corruption suspects in the fourth list of the commission published on October 4 as part of the drive against crimes and serious corruption.
