The foreign affairs adviser, Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, on Saturday expressed deep concern over Israeli raids on the Gaza strip that reportedly killed over 20 people.

He said the attack was ‘most regrettable’ and could have ‘extremely destabilizing effects on the region.’

‘With every such act the volatile region moves further away from peace,’ he said and urged for an immediate cessation of Israeli hostilities.
