At least two persons were killed in a road accident in Kashiganj Bazar area on Mymensingh-Netrakona Road under Phulpur upazila on Thursday.

The victims were identified as Siddiqur Rahman, 45 and Dulal, 40, of Bishka under the upazila.

The police said the accident took place at around 10:00am when a passenger bus bound for Netrakona rammed into a motorbike, leaving the two motorcyclists dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The driver managed to flee the spot. A case was filed with the police station in this connection.
