Agency A four-day International Socio-Scientific Cancer Conference begins in Dhaka on March 21. The Oncology Club and Federation of Anti-Cancer Activists of Bangladesh will organise the conference at the Radisson Water Garden Hotel, highlighting socio-economic aspects of cancer in developing countries with particular reference on Bangladesh and SAARC region and multi-modal management of cancer patients. The conference will be followed by a number of practical workshops including surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology and physics, paediatric oncology to update the knowledge of local physicians. The workshops will be conducted by famous oncologists from Bangladesh and other SAARC countries as well as oncologists from different institutions of USA and Europe, including Harvard Medical School, Vrije University Hospital, National Cancer Institutive of Amsterdam, UK, and Medical University of Budapest. |
