UNB, Savar The election commissioner, Sakhawat Hossain, on Saturday said it was none of their business to see who would participate in elections and who did not. 'We will hold elections on time according to the roadmap. I hope all political parties will participate in the election. It is not possible to come out of the existing situation without an elected government,' said the election commissioner. He made the observation while addressing a view-exchange meeting at Chouhat Government Primary School ground in Dhamrai area. He also said measures have been taken to make sure that all political parties follow democratic rules, have financial transparency, field honest candidates to contest polls and do not do 'nomination business'. Earlier, the election commissioner inspected voter-registration work in Chouhat union. |
