Reuters -

Election-related ethnic clashes have engulfed areas around the Kenyan town of Nakuru, causing three deaths, hundreds of injuries, and thousands of displacements, the local Red Cross said on Friday.

"As we talk, Nakuru town has been shut down ... My staff have carried three dead bodies and hundreds are injured in hospital," Kenya Red Cross head Abbas Gullet said. Gullet said between 30,000 and 50,000 people had been displaced in the Molo area, just north of Nakuru
