Staff Correspondent The Islamic University authorities have sold forms worth Tk 1.31 crore to students seeking admission to honours courses under 2007-08 academic session. A total of 43,478 forms have been sold this year against 1,210 seats at different department, IU office sources said, addiing the schedules of the admission tests would be announced January 14. A total of 1,859 forms were sold against 210 seats for admission to Dawah and Islamic studies, Al-Qur'an and Islamic studies and Al-Hadith and Islamic studies department under Ka Unit and 11,763 forms against 320 seats for admission to English, Bangla, and Islamic history and culture departments under Kha Unit. Those seeking admission to economics and political science and public administration departments under Ga Unit bought 8,086 forms against 140 seats. A total of 3,604 forms were sold against 120 seats in Gha Unit and 4,758 forms against 160 seats in Uma Unit for admission to four and three departments respectively. Under Cha Unit, 8,262 forms were sold against 140 seats available in two departments and 5,146 forms were sold for admission to departments under Chha Unit against 120 seats available. |
